Placing an Advertisement Online

You want to attract the best applications. What can you say in your advertisement to attract good quality applications?

Using this method of advertising is a step in the right direction. Your application can say as much or as little as you wish. Too much and nobody will read it, too little and you may be accused of hiding facts.

This is your opportunity to sell your school and attract high quality applicants.

As a check list - have you included the following facts:

  • Name of School, address, telephone, fax, email.
  • When is the job for?
  • Type - day/boarding, co-ed/single sex.
  • Position you wish to fill.
  • Experience required.
  • Specific details about the job, preferences for second subjects, other duties involved.
  • Specific strengths the school can offer.
  • Salary and benefits being offered.
  • Details of application - Hand written, CV, number of referees.
  • Closing date and provisional dates
